Sailing to The Tall Ships Races. Join the Morgenster in the wonderful Amsterdam and make your way towards the first port of the 70th Tall Ships Races in Denmark! Leave the famous harbour and take northerly course, joining the other sailors in climbing the masts, hoisting the sails, steering and navigating, as you sail towards Aarhus. Along the way you will get a taste of life at sea, make new friends, and take a break from the busy life to enjoy the elements. No experience needed: the experienced crew will teach you everything you need to safely sail a tall ship.
Important: this journey ends a day before the embarkation for Race 1. Please keep this in mind if you’re planning on joining the next journey and arrange alternative accommodation for the night.
Open to Windseekers aged 15 and older.

With more bicycles than people, cycling is an integral part of Amsterdam’s DNA. Hop on and see the city like the locals do! Winding waterways, idyllic bridges and historic buildings – one of the most memorable ways to truly see Amsterdam is from the canals. Amsterdam has a full cultural agenda showcasing the very best festivals, nightlife, exhibitions & events, plus there is enough practical tourist info, hotel, museum, excursion & attraction listings, you won’t miss a thing!

Aarhus is a port city on the northeast coast of Jutland, Denmark. One of its highlights is Den Gamle By, an open-air museum featuring historic buildings from across the country. The impressive 13th-century cathedral is another must-see. With its laid-back atmosphere and plenty to explore, Aarhus is a favourite among tall ship crews who return again and again. Just west of the city, lakes and forests offer great hiking opportunities for those looking to enjoy the outdoors.

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
