Tallinn (EE) - Turku (FI)

13 July - 20 July 2024

The Tall Ships Races 2024: Race 2. Get ready for an adventure: sail from Estonian capital Tallinn to the Finnish city of Turku, while racing Tall Ships, small ships, and other yachts. Choose Patricia if you’re serious about the racing – this is a sport vessel, whose crew sails to win! Sail day and night – in watches – across waypoints, towards the finish line. Learn to trim the sails for optimal performance, steer close to the wind, and navigate to your destination. Enjoy spending time outdoors, with no cellphone reception, surrounded by sea and nature. Make friends from different countries and learn new things about yourself. Rach Turku with two days to spare and spend them participating in the Crew Party, Crew Parade, and other events.
For all Windseekers aged 18+

Ports

Tallinn is a capital of Estonia, situated on the north coast of the country. It lies on the shore of Baltic Sea, in the Bay of Finland. When visiting, you must see the old town dating back to the medieval times and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of course you can't miss the Estonian Maritime Museum which depicts the country's long maritime traditions. The Seaplane Harbour is a high tech museum which offers a very unique experience while climbing Kohtuotsa will provide you with a beautiful vista.

Turku is a Finnish city dating back to the XIII century. Join in the ships' spectacular route through the Turku Archipelago before being brought right into the middle of the city on the banks of the Aura River. Walk the cobblestone streets, visit the medieval castle, Forum Marinum maritime centre, or one of many art museums. Take a stroll down the river bank to find your favourite little restaurant or cafe.

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
