Svanhild:
Helsinki (FI) - Tallinn (EE)

06 July - 11 July 2025

Join Svanhild for an adventure to the eastern Gulf of Finland onboard a true Tall Ship. Explore the Finnish archipelago and the old towns and settlements of Estonia. The Finnish summer will be at its best and you will fill your days with sailing, navigation, picturesque scenery, great food and of course the onboard wood heated sauna. The Finnish archipelago will offer natural beauty, and one-of-a-kind scenery. From there you will head over the Gulf to Käsmu in Estonia, the home of maritime heritage reaching as far as the 13th century. Next you’ll saild west towards Tallinn, stopping at the port of Hara, a Soviet-era submarine base, and Naissar, with a history going back centuries, crossing paths with the Vikings, Swedes, and the Soviets. Finally, you will head to Tallinn, a fitting end port and a Hansa-city from the 11th century. On this voyage, you will hoist the sails every day, and travel in true sustainable style, taking care of the fragile Baltic Sea.
For all Windseekers aged 15+ (8+ if joining together with a family member).
Hint: you can fly round-trip to either Helsinki or Tallinn and take a ferry form one location to the other. It takes about 2 hours and operates a few times a day.

Ports

Helsinki is the capital city of Finland with a population of about 600,000 people. It has been established in 1550. Take a ferry to visit the Fortress of Suomenlinna or the Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum. If you prefer to stay on the mainland you can't miss the Rock Church - literally built into rocks. Other attractions include the Esplanadi Park, Hakaniemi Market and lots of museum. Fans of architecture cannot miss the Finnish National Theater and the Lutheran Chathedral.

Tallinn is a capital of Estonia, situated on the north coast of the country. It lies on the shore of Baltic Sea, in the Bay of Finland. When visiting, you must see the old town dating back to the medieval times and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of course you can't miss the Estonian Maritime Museum which depicts the country's long maritime traditions. The Seaplane Harbour is a high tech museum which offers a very unique experience while climbing Kohtuotsa will provide you with a beautiful vista.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
