Nuuk (GL) - Ilulissat (GL)

24 June - 06 July 2027

Exploring the West coast of Greenland under sail. Nuuk, the starting point of this voyage, is the capital of Greenland which houses a large part of the island’s population. Setting sail North to Ilulissat, there is much exploring to do along the way. The first day might be used to sail to Maniitsoq. Another beautiful place, with a whaling history to explore, is Ukiivik (Sydbay). A sheltered anchorage can be found here among one of the many low islands. Taking the dinghy ashore, it is a good surrounding to go for a hike. The hills are accessible and from the lighthouse some amazing pictures can be taken. If weather cooperates, you might visit Sisimiut to explore museums, local cafés, and a touch of culture. North of Sisimiut, the coastline becomes wilder; whales are often seen feeding close to shore. Finally you’ll enter the Disko Bay, where views of the Ilulissat Icefjord (a UNESCO site) are unforgettable. You will disembark in a lively arctic town of Ilulissat.
Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.
