Thalassa:
Oban (GB) - Oban (GB)

26 August - 05 September 2026

Let the Wind Lead You – Discover the Magic of the Hebrides with Thalassa! Walking is one of the most rewarding ways to experience Scotland’s natural beauty. While the mainland offers famous long-distance trails, true peace and stunning landscapes await you further west: on the islands of the Inner and Outer Hebrides. Here you’ll find deserted bays, quiet villages, mysterious landscapes and breathtaking vistas – perfect for exploration on foot. This 10-day walking and sailing adventure aboard the Thalassa we combines the best of both worlds: short sails between islands, depending on wind and tides, and opportunities to hike and explore each new destination – either independently or with fellow trainees.
Gerard Spaans, an experienced walking guide, will be on board to help you choose daily routes that suit your interests and fitness level. Whether you prefer challenging hill walks or easy coastal paths, Gerard will have just the right suggestions!
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years of age.

Ports

Oban (meaning ‘little bay’ in Gaelic) is a small harbor town on the west coast of Scotland, famous for its whiskey distillery. The town occupies a beautiful setting in the Firth of Lorn, and is a perfect place to find shelter from the Atlantic. Walking around town is a pleasure, and close by you’ll find mountains, castles, dramatic coastal scenery, and McCaig’s tower that resembles the Colosseum. In the first week of August, the town plays host to West Highland week, a yearly sailing regatta.
