Thalassa:
Oban (GB) - Oban (GB)

15 May - 22 May 2027

Discover the magic of the Hebrides and let the wind guide you! This hiking and sailing island-hopping Thalassa voyage combines the best of two worlds. By day you’ll sail short passages between the islands, and at each place where you stop, you’ll be able to choose from one or more beautiful walking routes, either independently or together with fellow travellers. An experienced hiking guide Gerard Spaans, who knows the islands intimately, will be sailing with you. Each day he’ll help you select a route to match your preferences: a challenging hill walk, a relaxed coastal stroll, or something in between. You will receive route maps, brief descriptions and – if desired – GPX files for your navigation app or GPS device. Prefer to explore on your own? That is perfectly fine as well. Choose your own way and get going!
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years of age.

Ports

Oban (meaning ‘little bay’ in Gaelic) is a small harbor town on the west coast of Scotland, famous for its whiskey distillery. The town occupies a beautiful setting in the Firth of Lorn, and is a perfect place to find shelter from the Atlantic. Walking around town is a pleasure, and close by you’ll find mountains, castles, dramatic coastal scenery, and McCaig’s tower that resembles the Colosseum. In the first week of August, the town plays host to West Highland week, a yearly sailing regatta.
