Wylde Swan:
Saint John (CA) - Rotterdam (NL)

23 August - 25 September 2017

LAST MINUTE OFFER: EUR 2,010 for bookings before Aug 20th! Bring the Wylde Swan back home to Europe after a long summer of sailing in North America. Set sail in Saint John New Brunswick, Canada, and make an oceancrossing journey to the Netherlands. This 35-days journey will definitely make you get your sea legs while you cross the Atlantic Ocean. We expect to sail 2500 nautical miles. During your watch you learn things like hoisting sails, climbing up to the yard safely and how to navigate. You experience the value and fun of teamwork, responsibility and respect, all necessary for sailing a Tall Ship. Open to all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Saint John is the only city on the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada, situated at the mouth of Sain John river. It is a perfect starting point for many trips to admire the Canadian nature: the Irving Nature Park, Rockwood Park or the Reversing Falls, to name a few. You can also visit the Carleton Martello Tower or the New Brunswick Museum to learn more about the area. Finally take a walk at an indoor city market where you can taste local specialities and buy some handcrafted souvenirs.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
