Bark Europa:
Lunenburg (CA) - Saint John (CA)

12 August - 18 August 2017

Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta: Outport Programme. Sail from the World Heritage site in Lunenburg to Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. Cross the Bay of Fundy and have a stopover in a small town of Shelburne with its historical and well-preserved buildings. Keep a lookout for whales who are known to visit the Bay of Fundy on a regular basis!

Ports

Lunenburg is a Canadian port town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Historically the town was involved in several wars, including the American Revolution. Today the town is a fishery port and has several small shipyards that have managed to preserve the skills of the sailing era. Did you know that the replica of the ‘Bounty’ was built here? Visit the historic city centre on foot or by horse and carriage, and enjoy a leisurely hike in the grassy hills of the surrounding countryside.

Saint John is the only city on the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada, situated at the mouth of Sain John river. It is a perfect starting point for many trips to admire the Canadian nature: the Irving Nature Park, Rockwood Park or the Reversing Falls, to name a few. You can also visit the Carleton Martello Tower or the New Brunswick Museum to learn more about the area. Finally take a walk at an indoor city market where you can taste local specialities and buy some handcrafted souvenirs.

    Tropics
