Morgenster:
Klaipéda (LT) - Rostock (DE)

31 July - 07 August 2017

Board the Morgenster in Klaipéda, Lithuania, for an 8 day journey across the Baltic Sea to Rostock. Enjoy the last day of sailing festival in your embarkation port, where dozens of Tall Ships, Small Ships and Yachts will have gathered for the 2017 Tall Ships Races, then set course for Germany. Set the sails, man the helm, stand lookout and relax with your fellow trainees by the sounds of sea shanties and stories from experienced crew members. Places in 2 person cabins available for € 875 per person. Open for Windseekers of 15 years and older.

Ports

Klaipéda is a city in Lithuania on the Baltic Sea coast. The city has long maritime traditions – it even hosts its own Sea Festival in July! – and its architecture bears influences from several different cultures (French, German, Swedish). Take a walk down the Friedricho pasažas, visit the reconstructed Meridianas ship, find the quirky Golden Mouse sculpture and visit the Clock Museum.

Rostock, a vibrant city on the Warnow River, is home to one of the world’s oldest universities and rich in history and charm. One of its most picturesque spots is the Neuer Markt (New Market Square), where you’ll find the 13th-century Brick Gothic Town Hall and six beautifully restored gable houses dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. With many more historical and cultural sights waiting to be discovered, Rostock is the perfect place to explore!
