Thalassa:
Harlingen (NL) - Harlingen (NL)

26 July - 01 August 2020

Youth Journey for ages 13-18. Join the majestic Tall Ship Thalassa for a voyage of discovery and fun! Step on board in Harlingen and get to know the other trainees before setting sail. Leave the port behind and sail where the wind takes you: there is no set schedule for this journey, the route will be chosen based on the weather forecast. This means total freedom to choose the most exciting and comfortable sailing conditions. Out on the open sea you will soon learn how to keep watch: steer the ship, navigate, trim the sails and so much more! Enjoy the time outdoors, check the waves for dolphins, look at the stars during the night watch and have an unforgettable adventure on a traditional sailing ship! Open to young Windseekers aged 13-18.

Ports

Harlingen is a historic trade and fishing port in Friesland, the Netherlands, with roots going back over a thousand years. Its charming old town features well-preserved streets and buildings, perfect for exploring on foot. Despite its small size, Harlingen has a lively atmosphere and was a proud port of call for the Tall Ships Races in 2022. With its gezellig pubs and welcoming vibe, Harlingen is an ideal stopover for any traveler.
