Morgenster:
Den Helder (NL) - Setubal (PT)

03 November - 18 November 2024

Find the Morgenster berthed in Den Helder, and step on board for a sailing adventure! Sail across the North Sea, through Dover Strait, towards the English Channel. Make a stop along the way, either in Belgium, UK, or France, before setting out to cross the (in)famous Bay of Biscay. The sea might get rough in here, but it is also full of wildlife, so take some time to look for dolphins and seabirds. After a successful crossing, conditions permitting, you will make another stop in the north of Spain, before continuing down the Portuguese coast to the city of Setúbal, an hour’s drive from Lisbon. Here, you’ll say goodbye to your crew mates, taking with you all of the amazing memories.
This voyage is recommended for experienced and fit sailors.
Open to all Windseekers aged 18-73 years. Younger trainees, accompanied by an adult, at request. This booking is covered by VZR Garant (instead of Windseeker’s usual STO Garant).

Ports

Discover the town's sea connections by visiting the Marinemuseum and Nationaal Reddingmuseum Dorus Rijkers. Take a break and go for a walk in the botanical gardens Oranjerie De Groene Parel Den Helder or admire sea life in the Fort Kijkduin Museum and Aquarium.

Setubal is a port city in Portugal, about 50 km from Lisbon. For the local feeligh visit the fish market Mercado do Livramento, take a stroll through the Doca dos Pescadores fishing harbour and have seafood in one of the multiple local restaurants. You can also choose to walk around the old town or the waterfront, or relax on a nearby beach.
