Morgenster:
Shoreham-by-Sea (GB) - Oostend (BE)

25 May - 28 May 2026

Step on board the Morgenster in Shoreham-by-Sea and sail across the English Channel to Ostend in Belgium, where the maritime festival “Oostende voor Anker” will be held. Leaving the English coast, you will set the course eastward, across the busy waters of the English Channel. As the sails catch the wind, you’ll become a part of the crew: setting sails, taking the helm, and feeling the rhythm of a ship in motion. Or, if you prefer, simply enjoy the ride, watch the horizon shift, and sip your coffee as seabirds circle overhead. Finally, you will arrive in Ostend, where many other vessels will be gathered for the celebrations. Your journey does not include stay in the city during the festival, so we recommend booking a hotel to prolong the experience.
Open to Windseekers aged 15 and older.

Ports

Shoreham-by-Sea is a charming small town on the south coast of England. You can explore its long-standing maritime heritage by visiting the (operational) Lifeboat Station, followed by the Marlipins Museum, housed in the oldest secular building in Britain. The Old Shoreham Tollbridge is a step back in time, and if you’re into hiking, you can’t miss the Mill Hill nature reserve!

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
