Coastal Explorer: a short break to get a taste of like on board a Tall Ship. Join a sailing adventure on board the Oosterschelde, even if you can only spend a short time. Embark in Scheveningen, outisde of The Hague, and sail out wherever the wind takes you. Spend a few exciting days on board, learning to sail a traditional vessel, making new friends and enjoyng the time spent outdoors, before you make your way back to Scheveningen. IMPORTANT: Due to coronavirus the maximum number of people on board has to be reduced. You can only share a cabin with a family member, and never with a stranger. Are you traveling alone? In this case, you’ll have to book a single cabin. This journey is subject to special, more flexible COVID booking/cancellation conditions.

Scheveningen is a popular sea resort in the Netherlands, a stone’s throw away from the seat of government in The Hague. It has a busy marina and a lively (somewhat kitschy) promenade – great for an afternoon of sightseeing. You’ll also find plenty to do nearby. Go for a walk in the dune landscape or take a tour around the Palace of Peace. Visit Madurodam to see the Netherlands rebuilt in miniature, check out the city centre of The Hague, or explore the beach and perhaps even go kitesurfing.
