The Tall Ships Races 2024: Race 3. Join the last leg of the Tall Ships Races and participate in a spectacular adventure! Get on board Pascual Flores in Mariehamn, in the beautiful Aland Islands, and leave in a Parade of Sail with other majestic Tall Ships. Set the sails and join the race across the Baltic Sea, all the way to Poland. Learn to sail a Tall Ship, from steering and navigating to standing on lookout and trimming the sails. Sing some shanties, practice useful knots, and sail in watches day and night towards your destination. Reach Szczecin in time for the closing festival of the Tall Ships Races, and join the Crew Parade, Crew Party, and of course the Award Ceremony! Will you go on stage to collect a prize?
Open to all Windseekers aged 15+

Ports

Mariehamn is the capital of Aland Islands, an autonomous archipelago off the coast of Finland. The town has maritime ties, seen when visiting the Aaland Maritime Museum and the impressive Pommern museumship. Don't miss the old Maritime Quarter with its old fishermen houses and boats. With less than 12,000 inhabitants Mariehamn has a cozy and friendly atmosphere.

Szczecin in North-Western Poland has a deep commitment to sail training. Discover the Underground City Trails: a network of bunkers from WWII with their unique atmosphere. If you're more of an outdorsy type, take a canoe along the Odra river or explore Bukowe Hills which hide the ruins of old bridges and are home to numerous boars and deer. Visit one of many museums or the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes or the beautiful rose gardens.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
