In the harbour of San Francisco, the captain and his crew will welcome you aboard the Clipper Stad Amsterdam. The following morning, you will hoist the sails for your great Pacific adventure! On your way to Japan, you will stop to spend 2 days in the exotic Hawaii, before embarking on a 4-week crossing to Tokyo. During the voyage, you’ll learn as much as possible about sailing on a square-rigged ship. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean, find the time to relax on deck with a book or have a conversation with the crew and other participants, while crossing the largest ocean on Earth.
Open for all ages, minimum age 15 years.

San Francisco is a coastal city in California, on the eastern coast of the US. It is famous for the Golden Gate bridge and cable cars, but it has much more to offer! You can visit the former prison island Alcatraz, go hiking on the nearby hills, or take a day trip to Yosemite National Park. Of course, you can also stay in the city and enjoy the variety of restaurants, offering food from all over the world.

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, located at the head of Tokyo Bay on Honshu, Japan's largest island. With over 14 million residents, it is a bustling metropolis where the tradition meets modernity, and where you will not get bored! For amazing views, go up to the iconic Tokyo Tower. Try the authentic Japanese food for lunch, then take a breath in the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden before visiting the famous Senso-ji Temple.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
