The open-sea route provides a unique perspective, allowing you to appreciate the rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and pristine coastlines that characterize Australia’s eastern shores. During August, you can expect prevailing winds along the eastern coast of Australia to generally come from the south to southeast. These winds are typical for the winter season, providing a relatively stable and predictable sailing experience. Are you ready for your Australian adventure?

Sydney is the largest city of Australia, with over 5 million inhabitants. Located on the Pacific Ocean coast, and has over 70 beaches, and several national parks. Explore the stunning harbour, with its famous Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Visit the famous Bondi Beach, the aquarium, or one of the multiple museums. You can also go on a 10 km hike of the Manly Scenic Walkway, or take a trip outside the city to the Blue Mountains or a wildlife park. It's simply impossible to be bored here!

Brisbane is one of Australia's oldest and largest cities. It's situated on the east coast inside a peninsula of the Brisbane River, at the Coral Sea. Visit a Koala Sanctuary then take in the views from Mount Coot-tha Lookout spot or the Story Bridge. You can spend a relaxing day on the beach or visit the Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art to see the works of art from Australia, Asia and the Pacific. No matter your interests, you are sure to find something to do in Brisbane!

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.


What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
