Rapa Nui – or Easter Island – is a remote island on the Pacific Ocean. It belongs to Chile. Famous for its hundreds of giant stone statues (Moai), Rapa Nui is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Go diving with the underwater Moai, admire the Milky Way at night without the light pollution, explore the Anthropological Museum and try the local specialties for an all round experience.
Itinerary
Please note: All days at sea are subject to change based on wind, weather, and sea state. Any potential stop at Juan Fernández Islands is entirely weather-dependent and not guaranteed.
Day 1: Join Tecla in the anchorage off Hanga Roa. Familiarise yourself with the ship, meet your fellow explorers, and enjoy your first sunset with moai watching from ashore.
Day 2: Preparations and departure. Spend the day making final preparations before setting sail for the open ocean.
Day 3–7 – Into the Pacific. Settle into the rhythm of life at sea: watch rotations, shared meals, and endless horizons; nights under a canopy of stars, days marked by the creak of rigging and conversations in the wind.
Day 8–10 – Possible approach to Juan Fernández Islands (weather dependent)
Day 11–19 – Crossing into southern latitudes. Sail in the spirit of ancient navigators—carving your course by wind and will alone.
