Oosterschelde:
Plymouth (GB) - Porto (PT)

17 November - 26 November 2025

Find the Oosterschelde at Sutton Harbour, one of Plymouth’s most picturesque locations. The next day, as soon as the dock gates open, you will set sail for your adventure. The English Channel is vast here, and you’ll already feel the ocean’s gentle swells. You’ll stay close to the coast, waiting for the right conditions to cross the Bay of Biscay. The journey across takes around three days. During watches, you will assist with hoisting and lowering sails, steering, and navigation; as well as lending the chef a hand whenever needed. Between watches, there’s time to relax with a book, enjoy music, share stories, or warm up in the cosy saloon. Reach Galicia and sail along its stunning coastline, making your way to the mouth of the Douro River and the beautiful city of Porto.
This journey is a part of a delivery voyage to Cape Verde. Join multiple legs of this voyage for a 15% discount. You can stay on board in the days in between the sailing legs.
Open to all Windseekers aged 18+. Younger trainees, accompanied by an adult, at request.

Ports

Plymouth is a coastal city in the south of England. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts it is located near beautiful beaches and national park in Dartmoor. The city has a rich cultural life, with numerous art exhibitions and events. The National Marine Aquarium is the largest in the UK and offers a unique glimpse into marine world.

Porto, located on the Costa Verde, is Portugal's second-largest city and a busy port town. Porto's long and varied history has left many beautiful old buildings that you can discover by walking around the 'Ribeira' - the old city centre that is a World Heritage site. City walks can be demanding as Porto is built in the coastal hills, but that also means that each corner offers a new, exciting vista! And you can always cool your heels on Porto's rustic terraces and vibrant street side cafés.
