Oosterschelde:
Rio de Janeiro (BR) - Punta del Este (UY)

14 November - 25 November 2023

DARWIN200 Global Voyage: Leg 6. Sail from Rio de Janeiro to Punta del Este. One of Uruguay’s most colorful, cities located on the northern bank of the Río de la Plata. In Punta del Este, you can enjoy the local cuisine and discover the nearby seaside resorts, with sandy roads and pine forests. Punta de Este is the perfect base to explore Uruguay and is not inferior to Rio de Janeiro. We recommend that you stay a few more days in at least one of the two cities.
There is no more Covid-19 protocol on board, but the participants must make sure that they comply with the rules of the countries visited during the Journeys.

Ports

Punta del Este is a city in southeastern Uruguay, popular among the tourists for its many attractions. Climb the beautiful, 45-metre high lighthouse for amazing views, see La Mano de Punta del Este, famous sculpture which is a symbol of town and enjoy watersports on the scenic beaches. If you're lucky, you may even spot a southern right whale!
