Thalassa:
Tórnshavn (FO) - Oban (GB)

07 August - 18 August 2027

Let the currents and wind guide you as you discover the rugged, enchanting landscapes of the Faroe Islands and sail to Scotland. Your adventure begins in Tórshavn, the charming capital of the Faroe Islands, from where you will sail deeper into the archipelago. Visit Klaksvík or Fuglafjørður, picturesque fishing villages, sail past the dramatic cliffs of Kallur Lighthouse, and admire the jagged peaks of Tindhólmurrise. The islands of Sandoy and Suðuroy offer a different atmosphere, with rolling green hills, and villages where time seems to stand still. Enjoy peaceful walks through the countryside before embarking on a crossing to Scotland. If the winds are favourable, you may even visit the remote St Kilda along the way. Reach the Scottish coast and explore for a bit, depending on time and winds, before sailing into Oban where the scent of freshly smoked fish and fine Scottish whisky fills the air.
Open to all Windseekers over 18 years of age.

Ports

Oban (meaning ‘little bay’ in Gaelic) is a small harbor town on the west coast of Scotland, famous for its whiskey distillery. The town occupies a beautiful setting in the Firth of Lorn, and is a perfect place to find shelter from the Atlantic. Walking around town is a pleasure, and close by you’ll find mountains, castles, dramatic coastal scenery, and McCaig’s tower that resembles the Colosseum. In the first week of August, the town plays host to West Highland week, a yearly sailing regatta.
